I have the honour to forward here-
with Miss Long's resignation of her post of monitor im
the Belilios Public School and to recommend Miss Eileen
Chun Yut be appointed to fill the vacancy temporarily
and that she receives the same salary as Miss Long from
the 1st. instant.

I have also to report Miss Olson's
resignation of the post of temporary Assistant teacher
and to recommend the appointment of Miss Ida Simons from
the 1st. instant on a salary of $10.00 a month.

In connection with these two changes
I enclose a letter addressed to me by Mrs. Batenam on
the subject of the teaching staff of the School. The
staff is in my opinion insufficient and I should hesitate
to say it is really efficient.
4.
The very slight qualifications pos-
sessed by the junior teachers, the two Miss Turners and
Miss Long, are a source of embarrassment when any
members of the staff take leave, as it is then difficult
to
